Atelier Nyonya was founded to introduce kebaya as everyday wear and bring the vibrant beauty of handmade coastal batik from Java to a global audience. Each piece is a celebration of this dynamic art form, reimagined through modern, minimalist design.

We make kebaya in small batches and source batik directly from skilled artisans to ensure authenticity and a deep connection to traditional craftsmanship. Our pieces are created using natural, eco-conscious materials and produced in limited quantities to honor the integrity of slow fashion.

Our work centers on partnering with women seamstresses, artisans, and tailors. They are individuals and small business owners who bring tradition and craftsmanship to life.We believe that women are powerful drivers of economic progress, and by working together, we lift one another through shared purpose, creativity, and resilience.
